Matt said in this interview[1] for the Q Awards that his favorite song of the decade was Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi"[2]. In the same interview Matt even started singing Paparazzi.

On an interview with Triple J, Matt said "I love her music. I think she's an abseloutely superb artist and I love the way she dresses. I really like her"[3].

At the 2010 NME Awards, Matt lost the Worst Dressed Award to Lady Gaga. [4]
