Muse both opened and closed the half-an-hour live episode of Later... with Jools Holland. As with the performance six days earlier for Taratata, a group of violins accompanied the band during United States of Eurasia, as well as a cello. Matthew Bellamy made a minor mistake towards the end of the song and did not recite Frédéric Chopin's Nocturne Op. 9 № 2 in E♭, as has been the case since the 'A Seaside Rendezvous' gigs, the only two concerts thus far in which the piece has been recited.
