The CME WIDI-X8 was a wireless MIDI system, which transmits MIDI signals through WiFi. Matt's Manson guitars that have X-Y pads on them have CME WIDI transmitters fitted onto the guitar strap, and the signal goes into the receivers. The receivers are then plugged into the Korg Kaoss Pad KP2 in the off-stage rack.

Due to the broadcast strength being higher than the legal level, the CME WIDI-X8 is no longer in production, and is instead replaced by the bluetooth version of a similar system, the CME WIDI Master.[1]

These replaced the Kenton_MidiStream used on previous tours.
