Description
The song's title has been "officially" leaked on March 14th, 2022 via the JSON output from wontstanddown.muse.mu, which contains basic album info. We Are Fucking Fucked is implied as a a frenetic finale of the brutally honest lyrics.[3] Matt Bellamy said that this is the "weirdest, darkest lost B-side of Muse's life"[4] and NME described it as an "anthem of the apocalypse".[5] Kerrang described the track as a straigthforward, stripped back riffer, while Gigwise described it as "the most joyous-sounding outpouring of helplessness about the impending doom of the planet", comparing it to Biffy Clyro.[6]
A punk rock song with elements of stoner rock, QOTSA-like drum lines and Queen-style vocals, the song style in particular has been compared to the punk rock band "The Dead Kennedys". The final guitar riff is similar to Truckfighters's song Desert Cruiser.
Instrumentation
In terms of instruments, this is a simple song, focusing on just the guitar, bass and drums, with a little keyboard thrown in during certain parts. It also features Matt and his signature Queen-like stacked vocals during the final part, which also features a short guitar solo.
Another one of the two songs to use Jeff Buckley's Telecaster. According to Matt, he used it during the verses.

(Dom)We're playing together
You Really believe We can survive all of this The black vacuum of universe It was designed To swallow us whole It's a losing game
[Chorus x2:] We're at death door Another world war Wildfires and earthquakes I foresaw A life in crisis A deadly virus Tsunamis of hate are gonna drown us a-a-a-a-ah We are fucking fucked(x2)
True Good when you think You're safe and secure You'll forget what you need to remember Living in peace but you live in a lie The game is rigged
We're at death door Another world war Wildfires and earthquakes I foresaw A life in crisis A deadly virus Tsunamis of hate are gonna drown us a-a-a-a-ah We are fucking fucked(x2)
Hold up Stockpile Hold up We are getting fucking fucked
a-a-a-a-ah We are fucking fucked o-o-o-o-oh We are fucking fucked
Hey hey hey Fuck off Hey hey hey Stockpile Hey hey hey Fuck off Hey hey hey We are getting fucking fucked
