Announced by the festival on April 18th, 2022, Muse are set to headline the 2022 edition of Rock in Rio in Lisbon, on June 18th, filling in for Foo Fighters, after the loss of Tyler Hawkins. As such, Muse will be headlining the festival together with Post Malone, Duran Duran & Black Eyed Peas.[4] This will also mark the second time Muse would make an appearance on the festival, four years after their last appearance at the last Lisbon edition of Rock in Rio, which took place in 2018.
