Information
The first single off of the new album, announced on January 7th, 2022 on Muse's social media[2], after being streamed by Bellamy on Muse's Instagram on December 25th, 2021. The single was released on January 13th, at 3PM, GMT, on all streaming platforms (Spotify, Deezer, iTunes), together with it's music video.[3] This is the first single from the upcoming album.
The song reached number 1 at the Official Charts Company's rock and metal charts, 13 on Billboard's Rock & Alternative Airplay charts, and it reached the peak position of number 56 on the Official Charts Company's general singles charts.[4]
Cover Art
The creator of the cover art is still unknown, but the aesthetic is very reminiscent of English alternative metal band Sleep Token. The art contains, what appears to be, a mysterious monogram, speculated to be linked to the album name. The monogram logo also makes subtle appearances throughout the music video, being on costumes and appearing as a car emblem.
Similar to the blacked-out eyes during the Drones promotional being turned into a filter for Snapchat, the mask of the cult leader, which appears on the cover has been made into an Instagram filter, released on January 9th.[5]
