It is incredibly unique in that the top half of the bass is a Misa [[Misa_Kitara|Kitara]], cut to fit the wood frame, and the bottom half is a [[Status S2-Classic|Status S2-Classic headless]]. The bass is likely tuned to EADG standard. It debuted at the [[Stockholm SVT 2012 (gig) | SVT]] on the 13th of September 2012 where it was used for Madness.

Due to the Misa Kitara being prone to failure, Chris had three of them built for backup purposes. The bass was later succeeded by the improoved and re-painted [[Status Kitara Doubleneck Bass Mk2|Mk2] version in 2017, which ditched the Kitara completely.

During the Drones tour, the [[Status Kitara Doubleneck Bass Mk2|Mk2]] version was built due to the Mk1 version breaking constantly on tour.
