Information

Muse were announced as one of the headliners (together with Disclosure), of Lollapalooza Brasil 2014, in November of 2013. Muse headlined on night one, playing after Phoenix, Julian Casablancas, Capital Cities and Vespas Mandarinas.

Undisclosed Desires and Muscle Museum both appeared on the original setlist but neither was played. Yes Please however didn't feature on the original setlist but was played.

After the show, Matt Tweeted a Tweet saying "Thanks Sao Paolo for ur support tonight and singing for me. Sorry we missed Muscle Museum. promise to come back next year and will play it."

The streaming was cancelled a few minutes before the show due to Matt's laryngitis. He noticeably struggled for most of the show, using very little falsetto and having both the crowd and Wolstenholme sing far more than usual. Matt sang the final chorus of Bliss in normal pitch instead of falsetto like usual. He also sang Time Is Running Out's "ooh-yeah"'s in normal pitch.

Lithium (by Nirvana) was covered by Muse for the first time due to the fact that this show took place exactly 20 years after the death of Kurt Cobain. Matt sang the verses and Chris sang the chorus. A multicamera verison can be seen here

During the Execution Commentary riff, Matt threw his Manson Matt Black (batch) guitar into the air twice and then into the inside of the piano.(watch)

This gig also marked the last performance of Liquid State to date.
