Analysis and Explanation

Introduced for The Resistance 2010 Stadium Tour, the MK Jam is a unique drum and bass jam that was used as an intro to Undisclosed Desires. The jam was allegedly soundchecked at a Milton Keynes rehearsal session, giving the jam its name. Though performed quite often on the summer 2010 tour, there were many shows where it was skipped, including at most festivals on the tour. Dom and Chris walk onto the middle stage platform that floats out into the audience during MK Jam performances, making its way back to the stage by the end of the song before the electronic Undisclosed Desires intro begins.

It has not been performed since the October 2010 North American tour, and no pro-shots of the jam were broadcast. Despite this, there is pro-shot footage of the screen from Nijmegen 2010 show available in low quality. This is likely the closest to a pro-shot that will surface. At just nineteen performances, MK Jam has been performed less often than the majority of other instrumental jams (with a notable exception being the Osaka Jam). The belief that the "MK" refers to the jam's similarity to MK Ultra is likely a mistake.
