Information

"Muse teamed up with Genero.tv to give budding filmmakers the chance to make the music video for Animals, from their new album, The 2nd Law. The band narrowed it down to their top-5 before giving fans and visitors to their Facebook page the opportunity to vote on which finalist they liked best. “Your votes have been cast, the band has deliberated and we all agree that the excellent version of Animals by Inês Freitas and Miguel Mendes (onenessteam) from Portugal is the winner of our Animals video competition in association with Genero.tv.” Muse announced. Launched in December the decision took nearly five months to reach. It offers a prize of £3,000 (around €3,500) and will be shown during one of the band’s concerts this summer. Speaking to radio station TSF, winner Inês Freitas said that the video she helped create is unique in Muse’s history as it is an animated video that explores the concept of music and intends to be a criticism of “savage capitalism and greed.”
