I've been listening to this song over & over this past hour, & while I've been sure that the current displayed lyrics are wrong since they surfaced here, I think I'm getting more accurate.

What does everyone think?

War is overdue
Time has come for you
To shoot the meaning down
Truth's crumbling now

Lose control
Lose your faith
Lingering hours
Turn to the light
Lose control
Lose your faith
Lingering hours
Turn to the grave

Trial, strive
So much you'll cry
You'(ll|re) never (hear?)
Now (feel?) this last try
To spread the truth

War is overdue
I struggle for you

Lose control
Lose your faith
Lingering hours
Turn to the light
Lose control
Lose your faith
Lingering hours
Turn to the grave

Note: bracketed words with a question mark are guess work

-Tene

Third line: To chase the millions down (certain)
Last line of chorus: light (first time), grave (second time) (nearly certain)
'So much you'll cry' should be 'so watch your back' (certain)
Everywhere: WAR is overdue (nearly certain) - Shrinking Universe

It can't be millions, the second syllable has an "ee" sound. -Tene

I'll replace the lyrics currently up on the page soon unless someone has any objections. -Tene

And what about 'So much you'll cry' should be 'so watch your back'??? I'm quite sure of it. Furthermore I still think it's 'To chase the millions down' rather than 'To shoo(t?) the meaning down'. It might bee an "ee" sound but we all know matt's pronunciation ;) - Shrinking Universe

Still skeptical about the "watch your back" bit. Listening with a bit of EQ & on Zalman 5.1 headphones (split stereo), it's definately cry, on both the Buffalo & St Louis recordings. If you've got any other recordings, however, I wouldn't mind having them ... -Tene

I'm not sure about that cry. It doesn't fit, doesn't rhyme, and the rest sound like "so watch your" to me...but if you're really sure, change it back. I'm pretty certain the rest is the same. ۞ 01:59, 26 November 2006 (GMT)

Hm, it appears that that's the St. Louis version's lyrics, but not the Buffalo version's lyrics ... Also, the first line is different (for the St Louis version too), I think. --Tene 03:27, 26 November 2006 (GMT)

Alternative Titles

Would the titles that they called Assassin (and others) on the setlists count as alt. titles? (Such as Moniker Probes.)

Debase?

In the alternative titles it saus "Debase Masons Grog." Shouldn't it be "Mason's" instead of "Masons," like a possessive?

No. Why would it? ۞ 20:53, 4 February 2008 (GMT)
