.Not just you! Moonlight Sonata came up on my Release Radar today and I went "hmmm" then came here to see if anyone else had noticed.  I don't know If I'd go as far as to say it's a sample, but definitely an influence. --[[User:Epona99|Epona99]] ([[User talk:Epona99|talk]]) 16:59, 31 January 2020 (GMT)Epona99

Has someone actually uploaded clips for this song as they do not work? And what's with the hideous blue? Niall 04:56, 23 August 2009 (BST)

Must be an encoding problem. Will moved the files. --Tene 05:36, 23 August 2009 (BST)

Overture sample

Is the first part of the song (at 1:19) take a sample from Casta Diva aria (from Norma opera) ? --Cortexd 00:35, 5 October 2009 (BST)

It could be inspired by it; Matthew has cited Bellini as an influence, particularly as his home is on grounds once owned by Bellini, and he would often play his music late at night trying to summon inspiration from his home and his work. The main similarity seems to be arpeggiation and the vocal register, though Callas was a soprano and Matt's vocals here are more of a countertenor. --Dyingatheist 01:12, 5 October 2009 (BST)

Lending from Beethoven?

Is it just me or does the opening to Redemption sound like the opening of Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven? Give it a listen and tell me if I'm wrong.--Muserism 22:35, 10 March 2010 (GMT)

Snare

Anyone else noticed in the background of every piano solo in all parts of this piece that someone has forgotten to turn off the snare in the studio? Every time a key is pressed hard enough you can hear the snare vibrating in the background and it's kind of off-putting. You don't even have to listen all that closely to hear it.--Nick 04:58, 30 March 2010 (BST)

I notice it in the beginning of Part 3, but for some reason I rather like it; it adds a bit of ambiance. Given the time and attention to detail in the album, I'd have to assume it's intentional. --Dyingatheist 21:51, 19 April 2010 (BST)

April Fools

The Exogenesis Symphony prank hurt me. I had my hopes up for a few seconds. Just a few, no more. Then... I realized there was no fourth part to the symphony. Sad face. Sad face for a whole lot of people.--MuseA7X 17:38, 1 April 2010

It was on obvious joke, get over it xD Niall 12:16, 3 April 2010 (BST)
