Matt Bellamy describes it as a protest song about the banking situation.[3] In the 25th July issue of NME Magazine, Uprising was described as "singing, over a Marilyn Manson-style electro-glam stomp" Zane Lowe recently released 37 seconds of the song on his Radio 1 show. The full single is to be aired for the first time on Radio 1 at 7.30pm [UK time] on 3rd of August.
