Background
The newest of the Manson guitars, Bellamy uses a heavily modified version of it, with fanned frets, painted all-white (including the neck), used for Won't Stand Down and another untitled track from the upcoming album. This also marks the first new Manson guitar in a long time, to be used by Bellamy, which is not off of his signature model range, as the Manson Oryx is a guitar line made for Periphery guitarist, Adam "Nolly" Getgood.
According to Bellamy, with the guitar having six strings and having a special dropped B tuning, the fan-fretted fingerboard helps string tension remain solid.
Touring
The Manson Oryx has yet to appear on any gigs. It has, however, been seen in the studio, on Muse's Instagram/TikTok video, showing Bellamy playing Won't Stand Down.[1] It is unknown if the guitar was also used during the recording phase, as the song was recorded in early 2021, about a year prior to the official release of the Oryx.
