Wolstenholme got this pedal during The Resistance era, if not even earlier. It's presumably used on [[Uprising (song)|Uprising]], however that is not fully confirmed. Due to it's unique sound, it's still used in his pedalboard today. | Wolstenholme got this pedal during The Resistance era, if not even earlier. The Prunes & Custard is an overdrive pedal, a self-described "Harmonic-Generator-Intermodulator", produced by Crowther Audio, a small New Zealand-based guitar and bass pedal manufacturer. Apart from this unit, they're also known for producing the Hotcake distortion pedal and are known for their cream-white chassis with liquid-y black fonts.
Unlike other overdrive pedals, the Prunes & Custard is unique in that it features a pre-amp curcuit combined with a wave-shaping stage circuit with control for the low-frequency contour. eaturing featuring preamp and wave-shaping stage circuits and a control for the low frequency contour. Essentially, it is half-overdrive, half-fuzz and half-envelope filter.
The controls on the pedal include a level knob, a drive knob, which controls all of the filter and overdrive parametres in one knob, and a mix knob, which controls the amount of effected signal will be present. It also has a low frequency contour switch and a switch for bass or guitar.
Wolstenholme got this pedal during The Resistance era, if not even earlier. It's presumably used on Uprising, however that is not fully confirmed. Due to it's unique sound, it's still used in his pedalboard today.
