The Zon Series Custom 4 was a bass guitar from the Sonus series, produced by Zon. The bass featured a composite bolt-on design neck with a solid two-piece body and two options for electrronics: Either the Polyfusion ZP-2D with master volume, pickup blend and three knobs for bass, mid and treble or the Bartolini ZHR-2, with master volume, pickup blend and stacked bass/treble control. The bass included Gotoh GB-7 tuners and a Zon-designed machined brass bridge.
Christopher Wolstenholme used a Zon Sonus Custom 4 during the Absolution Tour between 2003 and 2005. This bass was also used for the recording of Falling Away With You and can be seen on The Making of Absolution DVD.
