The Mk2 Doubleneck Bass was built during the [[Drones World Tour|Drones Tour]] with the original [[Status Kitara Doubleneck Bass]] prone to failure, as the plastic Misa Kitara is not an instrument built for heavy touring. As such, the Kitara screen has been replaced with an iPad, which is controlling a synthesizer in an off-stage laptop located by the bass tech via a wireless MIDI system. The plastic Kitara neck was replaced with a sturdier wooden neck which houses all the keyboard electronics and the buttons are laid on top of the wood. | |||
