First Muse gig in the United Arab Emirates.
Announced by the Muse website on the 25th of January.[2] The band had been planning to visit Dubai on holiday and so decided to pay for the holiday by performing at the Dubai Desert Rock Festival.[4] The festival was promoted by Center Stage Management.[1] This gig contained the last performance of Man of Mystery to date.
Sometime before the concert the band rehearsed Uno, playing it for the first time in five years. They then ran through it a second time in a very fast motion. A band member later wrote online how much they enjoyed this.[5]
Speech
After Hysteria | Bellamy | "Hey Dubai, how're you doing?"[6] |
After Fury | "Thanks very much, cheers".
After Take a Bow | "Thank you Dubai! We love you".
Howard | "You guys rock Dubai, thank you. You guys are cool. See you next time, take care, cheers". |
Media
DC101 apparently claimed that it would stream audio online, from the festival live throughout the weekend, but it did not. SOUSOUS recorded the concert, of which six songs can be obtained here[registration needed] and the complete concert is here[registration needed].
