At one gig, Sheeran said, before playing a cover of 'Feeling Good' by Nina Simone, that Origin of Symmetry is the album he grew up listening too.[1]
In a 2018 interview with Guitar World, Bellamy said he's been influenced by Ed Sheeran and his used of the looper pedal, which he achieves his live sounds with. Matt mentioned an interest in certain aspects of Sheeran's sound and in exploring similar possibilities for his future works.
