Background
This guitar appeared on the Muse Twitter Account on 9th August 2012. This guitar is Matt's first Manson guitar not to have any internal effects or controllers.
The guitar had to match a specific weight requirement (around 2.4kg) so multiple holes were drilled into the body, neck, hardware to reach the target weight - similar to the rebuilt Manson Mirror 2.0. This was one of six other Manson guitars created by Hugh Manson for Bellamy in 2012.
The Bridge pickup was changed to a P90 pickup (presumably Manson MBK-1) before the 2012 London Roundhouse gig.
Before the Birmingham gig, it was fitted with a single coil Seymour Duncan pickup in place of the Fernandes Sustainer.
This guitar was replaced by the Manson Matt Black Stealth.
Touring
Although the debut of this guitar was during the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the guitar was not actually played. It is quite clear throughout the footage that all instrumentation was mimed, making this also one of the few times Muse have mimed sensibly. The guitar was used from 2012 until 2014 and was used for songs that require Eb tuning (half a step down).
