This was the forth of possibly four other Manson guitars created by Hugh Manson for Bellamy in 2012. This guitar has no Kaoss pad controller and does not seem to have any additional electronics, which is a departure from Matt's Resistance-era guitars. It is also the first 7 string that Matt has custom ordered from Manson (the [[Manson 7 String E Guitar|7 String E guitar]] was originally not built for him).
This is also one of Matt's first guitars to feature a Sustainiac.

Information

This new 7 string is the fourth of six Manson guitars created by Hugh Manson for Bellamy in 2012. The guitar had to match a specific weight requirement (around 2.4kg) so multiple holes were drilled into the body, neck, hardware to reach the target weight. This guitar has no Kaoss pad controller and does not seem to have any additional electronics, which is a departure from Matt's Resistance-era guitars.

This is also one of Matt's first guitars to feature a Sustainiac.

A duplicate of this guitar was built in 2015; Manson Black 7 String 2.0.

Additional Information

This guitar is featured in the Supremacy music video.

Touring

This guitar was first used for the debut live performance of Supremacy at the 2012 Cologne gig. It was later used for performances of Liquid State, Survival and also Citizen Erased (only once during rehearsals in 2013, and eventually in 2022 for a live performance).

After The 2nd Law era touring finished in 2014, the guitar was only used in Rig B in 2015 and 2016 for Supremacy only.

It made a surprising return during 2022's Isle of Wight performance of Citizen Erased and was then used in the US rig during the Will of the People World Tour up until April 2023.
