Rocks 50 Greatest Heroes
In this week's special edition of NME we count down the top fifty rock 'n' roll heroes of all time, of which Kurt Kobain has been voted the ultimate hero by NME readers.
Also featuring in the NME's heroes poll are stars including Liam Gallagher, Morrissey, Peter Doherty, David Bowie, Ian Brown, Joe Strummer, Matt Bellamy, John Lennon, Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl and Arctic Monkeys Alex Turner.
