Chris started using a Fender Jazz Bass solely for Sing for Absolution in the studio and occasionally during the Absolution Tour (2003 - 2005), also for that song. The first show when he used exclusively Fender (American Deluxe Candy Tangerine (maple neck) model) was at the last gig of the Absolution Tour, the Live 8 gig, for the four songs performed.
Since the start of the Black Holes and Revelations Tour (2006 - 2008) he used Fender Jazz Basses for nearly all songs, old and new, except Map of the Problematique and Knights of Cydonia (played with his Rickenbacker 4001), and Micro Cuts (played with his Pedulla Rapture RB4).
During The Resistance Tour (2009 - 2011) Chris started using Status Graphite basses, replacing some of his Jazz Basses. By the end of the tour, Chris's Jazz Bass selection got almost completely replaced by Status, with a Jazz Bass seen here and there.
Nowadays, Wolstenholme is still primarily using Status Graphite basses, with an occasional Jazz Bass used for certain songs.
