Even if it's called "Summer Festivals Tour" about only half of the gigs took place in the summer, the others been played in spring.
As mentioned above, the short tour began with the performance at the Pa'l Norte festival in Monterrey, Mexico, and ended with the Rock in Rio festival in Lisbon, Portugal.

Like the previous tour (the North American Summer Amphitheatre Tour), the stage design was kept the same as the Drones Festivals Tour, with the monolith screens behind the band. Also like the NA Summer Amphitheatre tour, the stage outfits were changed from the Drones costumes to ones which fit better with the new songs/album cycle. The sets were, however, changed, featuring less Drones songs, and instead more popular songs, and, of course, Dig Down and Thought Contagion.

This tour was a short tour of Summer festivals around the world (before the break and the subsequent album drop), including their first shows at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park after 8 years. Despite being unofficially called the "Summer festivals tour", half of the tour took place during Spring time. The tour began in Mexico and ended in Portugal.

Information

Average Setlist

Exceptions

 • At Carolina Rebellion, Drill Sergeant + Psycho opened, and Thought Contagion was played after Hysteria, followed by the tour's only performance of Map of the Problematique, before going onto Plug in Baby. Dig Down, Madness, Starlight and Mercy weren't played. Stockholm Syndrome was moved further down the setlist to close the main set.
 • At Bottlerock, Unsustainable and Resistance were played between Supermassive Black Hole and Stockholm Syndrome - no other setlist spots were affected and the rotation spot and Munich Jam were still played.
 • At Bonnaroo, Unsustainable was played in the place of Isolated System. The rotation and Munich Jam/Unsustainable spots weren't performed.
