Guitar tab
Tabbed by GiveMeThePiss Tuning : Standard Okay, so this one will be special to tab for me. It's acutally a song played with the fingers, and I only play with a pick. So I'll try my best first to write the right chords, and then to write the correct order of each string for each chord. For those who want to see more precisely how and when he plays the chords, watch his acoustic version of the song he released on Instagram (on IGTV). Let's start with the first verse. You can hear the synth playing for a few seconds, then the guitar starts when Matt sings "blown" : e|-5--5--5--4--2--2--2--0--2--0--2--2--2--0--5--5--5--4--2--2--2--0--2--0--5--5--5-| b|-5--5--5--5--2--3--2--0--3--0--2--3--2--0--5--5--5--5--2--3--2--0--3--0--5--5--5-| g|-6--7--6--6--2--2--2--1--2--1--2--2--2--1--6--7--6--6--2--2--2--1--2--1--6--7--6-| D|-7--7--7--6--4--4--4--2--0--2--4--4--4--2--7--7--7--6--4--4--4--2--0--2--7--7--7-| A|----------4--4--4--4--2-----2--4--4--4--2-----------4--4--4--4--2-----2----------| E|-------------2--2--2--0-----0--2--2--2--0--------------2--2--2--0-----0----------| Now, what I call the pre-chorus, when the "Aah aah" come : e|-9-------10--9---7-| b|-10--9---10--10--9-| g|-11--9---11--11--9-| x2 D|-11--11--12--11--9-| A|-9---11--12--9-----| E|-----9---10------0-| And the chorus : e|-2--0--5--10--2--0--5--10-|-0--0--0-| b|-2--0--5--10--2--0--5--10-|-0-------| g|-2--1--6--11--2--1--6--11-|-1--2----| D|-4--2--7--12--4--2--7--12-|-2--2----| A|-4--2--7--12--4--2--7--12-|-2--4--5-| E|-2--0--5--10--2--0--5--10-|-0--0--0-| (---------) (Note : This part I quoted is only played on the second and third chorus). Repeat the whole thing until the first bridge ("And I need (...)") in more dynamic way. You hit the strings back and forth instead of doing arpeggios. You can hear how to play it between the first chorus and the second verse. By the way, this moment before the second verse goes like this : e|-5--5-5-x-x-x-5--5-5-x-x-x-5--5-5-x-x-x-5--5-5-x-x-x-| b|-5--5-5-x-x-x-5--5-5-x-x-x-5--5-5-x-x-x-5--5-5-x-x-x-| g|-6--6-6-x-x-x-7--7-7-x-x-x-6--6-6-x-x-x-7--7-7-x-x-x-| D|-7--7-7-x-x-x-7--7-7-x-x-x-7--7-7-x-x-x-7--7-7-x-x-x-| A|-----------------------------------------------------| E|-----------------------------------------------------| Also, if you hear attentively, you can hear an electric guitar during the second verse. It's very quiet, but I'm quite sure that the chords playing over the synths during the second part of the verse are played. The first apperance of the electric guitar is a bit confused, so I tried my best to tab it right. I think the Xs are actually a pick slide. Also, this electric guitar MAY be tuned in Drop D. The last chord fades out, if you hear attentively : e|-----------------------------------------------| b|-----------------------------------------------| g|--------------6b7r6->-4~-----------------------| D|----------x--------------7---6-4---2-0---2---7-| A|-x->-13->-x--------------7---6-4---2-0---2---7-| D|----------x--------------7---6-4---2-0---2---7-| Then, after the second chorus, there is the bridge. There is normally nothing played for the guitar in thnis part, but you can add these few chords Matt plays in the acoustic version : e|-2--0--5----10-| b|-2--0--5----10-| g|-2--1--6----11-| x2 D|-4--2--7----12-| A|-4--2--7-11-12-| E|-2--0--5-9--10-| For the synth solo, it's nothing special. Just play the second part of the verse, which is : e|-5--5--5--4--2--2--2--0--2--0--5--5--5-| b|-5--5--5--5--2--3--2--0--3--0--5--5--5-| g|-6--7--6--6--2--2--2--1--2--1--6--7--6-| D|-7--7--7--6--4--4--4--2--0--2--7--7--7-| A|----------4--4--4--4--2-----2----------| E|-------------2--2--2--0-----0----------| To finish, go back to the pre-chorus, the chorus, then the bridge (that is actually a kind of outro now), and like the first bridge, there is nothing played, but you can add the same few chords, and you can finish on this chord : e|---------0-| b|-------2---| g|-----2-----| D|---2-------| A|-0---------| E|-----------| And you got it ! I'll tab the correct order of the strings played for the chords later. For now, I only tabbed the chords. Song structure : Intro (No guitar) Verse 1 Pre-chorus Chorus Verse 2 Pre-chorus Chorus Bridge 1 Synth solo Pre-chorus Chorus Bridge 2/Outro Signs : ~ : vibrato b : bend r : release bend h : hammer p : pulling -> : slide x : muted note
