Guitar tab
Tabbed by GiveMeThePiss Tuning : Standard Okay so first, there are a few chords you need to know for the intro and the chorus. I think it's something like this : e|--------10--------------------------5->-| b|-8~-----10-----5~-------------------5->-| g|-9~-----11-----5~-----9~-----7~-----5->-| D|-9~-----12-----5~-----9~-----7~-----7->-| A|-7~-----12------------7~-----5~-----7->-| E|----------------------------------------| Except for the last line of the last chorus where it is : e|-8--| b|-8--| g|-9--| D|-10-| A|-10-| E|-8--| (You can use a Whammy pedal, with the Harmony effect +1oct.) Also, there is this little riff after the first chorus. Matt plays it this way in concert : e|-------------------------------------| b|-------------------------------------| g|-------------------------------------| x4 D|-------------------------------------| A|-------------------------------------| E|-0-15-0-19-15-0---15-12-0-19-15-0-15-| But I prefer to play it this way (with the Harmony +1oct. effect on the Whammy), because it sounds closer to the original : e|-----------------------------------------| b|-----------------------------------------| g|-----------------------------------------| x4 D|-----------------------------------------| A|-----------------------------------------| E|-0-h3p-0-h7p-3p-0---h3p-0---h7p-3p-0-h3p-| You can these few notes in the second verse like Matt in concert if you want : e|-----------------------------------------------------------------| b|-8~-8b10r8~->-7~->-5~->-6->-7~---13~-13b15r13~->-12~->-10~->-13~-| g|-----------------------------------------------------------------| D|-----------------------------------------------------------------| A|-----------------------------------------------------------------| E|-----------------------------------------------------------------| And finally this solo. I play it this way, a bit more simple (in my opinion) than Matt's version, which you can find on Muse's YouTube channel. Of course, you'll need to use the Harmony effects + or - 1 oct. of the Whammy if you want to sound closer to the original : e|----------------------------------------| b|----------------------------------------| g|-11b12r11-11h12p11----11----------------| D|-------------------12----12-------------| A|----------------------------12-12-10-9~-| E|----------------------------------------| This first bend is very fast, you can barely hear the 11th case of the g string. e|------------------------------| b|-10~-8h10p8----8--------------| g|------------11---9------------| D|-------------------10-10-9-7~-| A|------------------------------| E|------------------------------| e|------------------------------------| b|------------------------------------| g|-11b12r11-9h11p9----9---------------| D|-----------------10---10------------| A|-------------------------10-10-9-7~-| E|------------------------------------| This second bend is a bit slower, you can clearly hear the 11th case of the g string this time. e|---------------------------| b|-11~-7h11p7---7------------| g|------------9---9-6-6------| D|----------------------9-8~-| A|---------------------------| E|---------------------------| e|-----------------------------| b|-10~-8h10p8----8-------------| g|------------11---9-----------| D|-------------------10-9-7----| A|--------------------------7~-| E|-----------------------------| e|-----------------------------| b|-13~-8h12p8----8-------------| g|------------11---9-----------| D|-----------------------------| A|-------------------10-9-7----| E|--------------------------8~-| Outro : Matt plays it this way : e|-------------------| b|-------------------| g|-------------------| x4 D|-------------------| A|-------------------| E|-0-15-0-19-15-0-15-| I play it this way : e|----------------------| b|----------------------| g|----------------------| x4 D|----------------------| A|----------------------| E|-0-h3p-0-h7p-3p-0-h3p-| And finish on this note : e|---| b|---| g|---| D|---| A|---| E|-0-| And you got it ! Song structure : Intro Verse 1 (nothing) Chorus 1 (play intro) Post-chorus 1 Riff Verse 2 Chorus 2 (play intro) Post-chorus 2 (nothing) Solo Chorus 3 (play intro twice, and don't forget the exception for the last line !)
