Vig is an American musician and record producer, best known internationally as the drummer of alternative rock band Garbage and the producer of multi-platinum selling albums Nevermind by Nirvana and Siamese Dream by Smashing Pumpkins.
In 2010, Vig produced Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever) with Muse. Several photographs of Vig in the recording studio with Muse were published on the band's Twitter page in April 2010.
