Primus is a funk-metal band from California. Since forming in the mid 80s, the line up has changed alot, with the only permanent member being bassist and vocalist Les Claypool. Other notable members include Larry LaLonde (guitar) and Tim Alexander (drums).
Christopher Wolstenholme said Sailing the Seas of Cheese was one of his favourite albums in December 2006.[1]
On September of 2000, the band was asked about wich were Muse's influencess when they started, Dominic Howard said: "It started out with Primus, bits of Nirvana, early English bands like senseless Things & Mega City Four..."[2]
