Foro Sol during a concert

Foro Sol ("The Sun Forum" in English) is a sports and concerts venue built in 1993, inside the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez race track, located in eastern Mexico City. It sits around 10 minutes away from the Mexico City International Airport, owned by the Mexico City Government, and operated by Grupo CIE. With its capacity of 65,000 people, Foro Sol can be considered second in capacity for large concert attendance in Mexico City after the aging, but very functional, Estadio Azteca, having the capacity of 87,523. The venue's name comes from a popular beer brand, "Cerveza Sol", of the Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma group.

The venue was originally built simply for staging large music concerts. Initially called the Autódromo, it could accommodate up to 50,000 people. Since 2000 and up until 2014, it has been used as a baseball stadium as well, because the only other major baseball stadium in Mexico City (Parque del Seguro Social, formerly Parque Delta) was demolished to build a shopping mall. During that time, it hosted the Diablos Rojos del México and Tigres de México baseball teams. In 2009, it held the Pool B of the World Baseball Classic. Since 2015, Foro Sol is the host venue of the Mexico Grand Prix, and it hosts the Mexico City ePrix since 2016.

Muse aren't strangers to the venue, having performed during The Resistance, Simulation Theory and Will of the People tours.
