During the Curiosa tour in the US, [[Christopher Wolstenholme]] fractured the scaphoid bone in his wrist after a game of football with friends.{{cite/none}}  Apparently, Didz from [[The Cooper Temple Clause]] inflicted the injury while tackling him, causing Muse to cut the tour short.{{cite/none}}  [[Morgan Nicholls]] took over on bass for festival dates in Europe and gigs in Australia, but Wolstenholme played in France and New Zealand with a [[Auckland St. James Theatre 2004 (gig) | purple plaster cast]].  Wolstenholme performed backing vocals, some keyboard and balloon throwing at these shows.{{cite/none}}
