The Killers are an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada, formed in 2002 consisting of vocalist Brandon Flowers, guitarist Dave Kueuning, bassist Mark Stoermer, and drummer Ronnie Vannuchi Jr. In a interview for Modern Drummer Magazine [[Dominic Howard|Dominic]] said "I like that about some players – that's just their style, like they're improvising throughout the whole song. Like Ronnie Vannucci from the Killers – I love his playing, just doing offbeat cymbal hits. You can tell he's having fun and not really thinking about it". Muse has also remarked that The Killers are one of their favorite live bands.

On August 4th, 2017 (the day after [[Chicago Grant Park 2017 (gig)|Muse's interrupted performance at Lollapalooza]]) The Killers covered [[Starlight (song)|Starlight]]<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kbwtVU-M2o</ref>.
