This is a help page for the discography details template, [[Template:Disco-details]].

disco-details is meant for information specific to different editions of the same discography item.

== Usage ==

Include the template where you want it by adding:

Typically, it should be below the track-list.

disco-details has seven variables, or types of information, which can be set for up to 12 different releases.  These are:

<em>nn</em>-Region = Region ISO code, e.g. GB<br />
<em>nn</em>-Desc = Description for an edition, e.g. CD1<br />
<em>nn</em>-CatNumber = Catalogue number/ID for a release<br />
<em>nn</em>-Publisher = Publisher of the release<br />
<em>nn</em>-Tracks = Number of tracks on the release, including hidden ones<br />
<em>nn</em>-Length = Sum of the lengths of all tracks on the release<br />
<em>nn</em>-Chart = Chart position for the region<br />

Numbers for each edition should be assigned by you and substituted for each <em>nn</em> above.  Note that the numbers are simply to distinguish between editions, and do not appear on the page.

Aside from 01-Desc, the variables for any unknown information should not be set.  Unset variables are replaced by "''Unknown''".  Variables for information which isn't applicable to a given edition, for example CatNumber in the case of CD-Rs, should be set to a hyphen-dash (-).

When this template is used, "DetailsSection = 1" should be added to the relevant page's [[Template:Discobox |discobox]].  Doing so adds a visible link from the discobox to the details section, provided that said section has a "Details" header.

Note that discography items which have only one edition do not need disco-details.  For such cases, all the information should go in the [[Template:Discobox |Discobox template]] instead.
