'''Cold War Kids''' are an indie rock band from Fullerton, California, USA. Band members are Nathan Willett (vocals, piano), Matthew Schwartz (guitar/keyboards), Matt Maust (bass guitar), David Quon (guitar) and Joe Plummer (drums). Former members include Jonnie Russell (guitar until 2012), Matt Aveiro (drums until 2013) and Dann Gallucci (guitar/keys between 2012 and 2016). Active since 2004, the band have released seven studio albums, ''Robbers & Cowards'' (2006), ''Loyalty to Loyalty'' (2008), ''Mine Is Yours'' (2011), ''Dear Miss Lonelyhearts'' (2013), ''Hold My Home'' (2014), ''L.A. Divine'' (2017) and ''New Age Norms 1'' (2019).

The band's influences include Bob Dylan, Billie Holiday, Jeff Buckley and The Velvet Underground aswell as U2, Nick Cave, Tom Waits and others. They are known for their blues rock-influenced indie rock sound.

Cold War Kids supported Muse during their August 2007 North America tour.
