On April 1st, 2006 (April Fools Day), the band posted an update to the news section of their official website stating that [[Muse | the band]] was to play the first ever gig in space.

Many people believed this to be true and even NME.com added a news update to announce the news. This was removed shortly after it became clear that it was a prank.
