Christopher Wolstenholme with his arm in a sling

During the Curiosa tour in the US, Christopher Wolstenholme fractured the scaphoid bone in his wrist after a game of football with friends.[source?] Apparently, Didz from The Cooper Temple Clause inflicted the injury while tackling him, causing Muse to cut the tour short.[source?] Morgan Nicholls took over on bass for festival dates in Europe and gigs in Australia, but Wolstenholme played in France and New Zealand with a purple plaster cast. Wolstenholme performed backing vocals, some keyboard and balloon throwing at these shows.[source?]
