Unlike other overdrive pedals, the Prunes & Custard is unique in that it features a pre-amp curcuit combined with a wave-shaping stage circuit with control for the low-frequency contour. eaturing featuring preamp and wave-shaping stage circuits and a control for the low frequency contour. Essentially, it is half-overdrive, half-fuzz and half-envelope filter. The controls on the pedal include a level knob, a drive knob, which controls all of the filter and overdrive parametres in one knob, and a mix knob, which controls the amount of effected signal will be present. It also has a low frequency contour switch and a switch for bass or guitar.

Wolstenholme got this pedal during The Resistance era, if not even earlier. It's presumably used on [[Uprising (song)|Uprising]], however that is not fully confirmed. Due to it's unique sound, it's still used in his pedalboard today.

Crowther Audio Prunes & Custard

The Prunes & Custard is an overdrive pedal, a self-described "Harmonic-Generator-Intermodulator", produced by Crowther Audio, a small New Zealand-based guitar and bass pedal manufacturer. Apart from this unit, they're also known for producing the Hotcake distortion pedal and are known for their cream-white chassis with liquid-y black fonts.
