This could very well be the title of the '15-minute orchestral' track. Non-orchestral pieces are not set to score I believe (ever noticed how the 'official scores' don't match the songs? well there you have it, they might have been 'official' but not 'original') and Matt looked very keen showing them off. Although nothing is certain, it is the most logical assumption at this point that it is the three part orchestral track.

Can / can't be won?

I hear can't. There's no actual T sound, because there's a glottal stop instead, same as how most British English speakers would say "can't be", unless they were taking care to emphasize it (try saying it out loud yourself!). Also compare it to the way Matt says can't in Can't Take My Eyes Off You. And that's my pronunciation lesson for today :) I like sleeping 00:30, 16 July 2009 (BST)

Okay, lots of people have said "can't" so I guess it is. I couldn't hear the glottal stop myself and I did listen to it, but we'll go with popular opinion for the time being until we get some kind of confirmation! =] Niall 00:35, 16 July 2009 (BST)
The point of the glottal stop is that there is no sound, there's a stop! Like how a cockney might say "city". Or something. Also, listening closely, I think he might say "cannot" the first time. Or we could just wait for the album to get the actual lyrics, haha. :) I like sleeping 00:43, 16 July 2009 (BST)
I know, I speak some German and glottal stops come in before vowels quite a lot. But you could still hear it as opposed just a "can" I would have thought. Oh well, we'll find out some time soon hopefully! Niall 00:54, 16 July 2009 (BST)
I'd think it'd be can't, as a reference to 1984, the wars just went on (although there is a lot of ambiguity as to whether they were real or not), no one ever actually won, although allies/enemies swapped. It also sounds more like "can't" to me, and "can't" seems to fit better with the rest of the lyrics. Left Noise 04:55, 16 July 2009 (BST)
I vote that it's 'can', as we've heard on previous songs, Matt says 'Can't' like an English person would, with the lower 'A'. I too cannot hear the 'T' at the end either. Musername 14:05, 16 July 2009 (BST)
