First gig of the Will of the People Theatre Tour.

Information

Night one of the series of two Eventim Apollo fundraising concerts. Muse were supporting War Child and Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) on this charity gig. Ticket presale started March 29th, 2022, at 9AM, while onsale started March 30th.

The gig was added on Muse's Facebook on March 24th, 2022, about a week after graffiti and stickers with the album's monogram were spotted in London, however the Facebook event was deleted the same day, after the lack of an official announcement. The announcement was finally made on March 28th, with a second gig added on May 10th.

First show with Dan Lancaster, replacing Morgan.

The Show

The Gallery was played live for the first time ever. Matt hinted that the song would be played after he posted a Tweet, tagging @TheGalleryGang and saying "it's time", earlier that day. He also humorously introduced the song as "the deepest of deep cuts".

Space Dementia and Citizen Erased were played for the first time since 2018, and the show also marked the first time that the latter song wasn't played on the traditional Manson 7 String E Guitar (or it's duplicate the Manson CE-7) at a main show. Prelude was played with Matt accompanying Chris and Dom on piano for the first time.

Confetti were released during Starlight, and streamers were released during Knights of Cydonia.

Attire

Bellamy sported the same outfit on both nights, starting off with a Balmain hoodie and some black joggers, before removing the hoodie to reveal a white t-shirt with the 'Will of People' logo spray painted in the centre. On this night Chris wore a plain black t-shirt, while Dom sported a black vest.
