Information

This was Bellamy's first guitar to feature an X-Y Midi Pad, able to control a number of Midi devices (incl. the Korg Kaoss pad and a Digitech Whammy). This feature has since been included in many of Bellamy's guitars such as the Manson Red Glitter and the Manson Black Midi. The guitar had a pair of hot P90's in the bridge position, and was the first of the Matt's custom Mansons to have this configuration. This layout was later also featured on the Manson Mirror Kaoss and on the Manson Doubleneck.

Although it is officially named as "M1D1 Black"[1] it is better known to fans as "Kaoss Manson".

This guitar is featured in music videos for "Invincible", "Neutron Star Collision (Love Is Forever)" and het alternative video version of " Supermassive Black Hole" (watch). It can also be seen in the Making of Uprising video.

Touring

The guitar made its live debut at Radio 1's Big Weekend on May 13th, 2006.

During The Resistance Tour, this was Matt's most used Manson. According to the Manson Facebook page, this guitar was Matt's warm-up guitar for The 2nd Law Tour and was used in the studio while recording the Drones album.
