Background

The DL-1 is a signature replica series of Matt's Manson Delorean, the first custom guitar he ordered from Hugh back in 2001. The first batch was available in 2011 and was limited to 25 pieces. The second batch was released in 2012 and was again limited to 25 pieces. The third batch was released in 2016 together with the Manson SDL-1 and was also limited to 25 pieces. This run also featured an upgradable toggle kill switch to a push button kill switch.

The DL-1 range has a starting price of £2999 for an Aluminum basic version, the internal Fuzz Factory is an additional £300, while both the internal MXR Phase 90 and internal Fuzz Factory an additional £600. Custom Manson hardware comes at a price of additional £250 for the standard guitar and £275 for the internal effects one.

A DL-1 prototype (the Manson Delorean 3.0) was auctioned off by Bellamy at the Nordoff Robbins Charity Auction in 2010. Another modified DL-1 prototype (the Manson DL-1 Delorean) was used by Matt at Reading & Leeds 2011.
