The band are one of the most celebrated live acts of recent years with their headline shows at Glastonbury in 2004 and The Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals in 2006 acclaimed across the media as the epitome of an exhilarating rock show. With a musical ambition that has seen the band receive a lorry load of awards as well as two # 1 albums since their debut album, “Showbiz”, in 1999, this concert is sure to join those, and their recent Wembley Arena dates in the pantheon of rock’s greatest moments.

Wembley Stadium's Chief Executive, Michael Cunnah, said: "Wembley Stadium is a world-class music and sporting venue and we are thrilled that top British rock band Muse is going to be one of the first music acts to play here next June. The stadium is looking magnificent and with good progress being made on site we are aiming to open as early as possible in 2007. We are currently in discussions with a number of event owners and promoters and the interest in the new Stadium as London's newest and greatest venue is fantastic. There are likely to be further events announced over the next few months."

Muse have had a phenomenal year following the release of their fourth album, Black Holes And Revelations, a top ten hit across Europe and the USA. The release confirmed their position as one of the UK’s foremost bands with total record sales of over 7 million throughout their four album career. Each release has surpassed the last and Muse are one of a select handful of UK acts that are as big internationally as they are in their home country. This year saw Muse play a sold out 39 date arena tour across the UK and Europe playing to an average of 12,000 fans per night.
