Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Events Center
Mandalay Bay Events Center, is an indoor multipurpose arena, part of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, located in Las Vegas, specifically at The Strip. The arena is owned and operated by MGM Resorts International. The arena was opened in 1999 and has a capacity of 12,000 seats.
Mandalay Bay Events Center is home to Las Vegas Aces of WNBA. Throughout it's existence, it hosted a variety of different sporting, music and entertainment events including a 2011 Amir Khan vs. Zab Judah light welterweight title unification, 31 UFC events in 2018 including UFC 33 and UFC Fight Night 88. The arena also hosted the largest UFC weigh-in show in history with over 10,000 fans present. In 2012, it hosted the 999th episode of WWE Raw, several NBA games and NCAA games the 2019 WNBA All-Star Game and the 2016 Spring North American League of Legends Championship Series. In 2000, Journey performed in the arena and released the recording on their 2001 DVD. In 2011, the arena hosted the Glee Live! In Concert! show. Other musical artists who have performed in the arena include Bob Dylan, Rihanna, Maroon 5, Iron Maiden, Brian May and more. Other events that took place in the arena include the 2017 Miss USA pageant and the 2010 Miss Universe pageant, the 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Latin Grammy Awards, the 2006 and 2007 VH1's Rock Honors ceremonies and the 25th Billboard Latin Music Awards in 2018.
The performances of Unsustainable and Stockholm Syndrome from the 2013 show in the arena were filmed and released as bonus features, together with the performance of Liquid State from Dallas, on the Live at Rome Olympic Stadium DVD. In 2015, the band planned a show in the arena which had to be postponed to 2016 due to Matt's leg injury. In 2019, BMX stunt driver Blake Hicks, who performed stunts in the Simulation Theory era music videos, appeared as special guest before the show in the arena.
