| Glorious was the first song to be performed from the Black Holes and Revelations era and the first to be dropped from setlists. Glorious was performed at several October and November dates during the 2004 Absolution tour before being skipped until the Earls Court performance in December. From there it was played once more in 2005, but never again after that. It is assumed that, had the song made the international release of the album, it would have been performed far more often.

| The only performances of the song are early performances that lack many parts of the song that would see the final release including the piano. Many performances of Glorious available online are actually the 10/31/2004 performance under a variety of different names, including the 11/01/2004 and 11/02/2004 gigs. You can tell this by listening carefully at the beginning of the performance for a clicking noise from digital equipment, possibly a glitch in the audio. Glorious holds the distinction of being the only Muse song played live mostly in Canada.

| The likelihood of Glorious being played live again is limited due to its status as a b-side. Few songs from the Black Holes and Revelations era are played live today, further limiting the possibility of a return. Still, in a poll of 500 fans conducted in November 2015, out of a total thirty songs that had not been played since The Resistance era, fans voted Glorious as the most requested song to make a return to setlists.<ref>[http://web.archive.org/web/20151126224641/http://strawpoll.me/6086378/r]</ref> Dom revealed in a 2016 interview that he would like to see the song performed live again, but also disclosed that Matt has responded with "Fuck off".

| After twelve years, Glorious was finally performed again at the [[London Shepherds Bush_Empire 2017 (gig)|2017 Shepherd's Bush Empire]] by request gig as a fan request. Dom stated at the gig that the song was one of his favourites and that he'd been trying to get Matt to play it for years as he previously mentioned. This version is the first and so far only performance to use the piano and the intro seen on the studio version of the song. It's unlikely that the song will return, probably due to Matt's dislike of the track. Although it was an option at the Paris by request gig in 2018, indicating that Matt is still willing to play the song if its requested again.
