Chris started using a Fender Jazz Bass solely for Sing for Absolution in the studio and occasionally during the Absolution Tour (2003-2005), also for that song. The first show when he used exclusively Fender (American Deluxe Candy Tangerine model) was at the last gig of the Absolution Tour, the Live 8 Gig , for the four songs performed. Since the start of the Black Holes and Revelations Tour he uses Fender Jazz Basses for nearly all songs, old and new, except Map of the Problematique and Knights of Cydonia (played with his Rickenbacker 4003) and Micro Cuts (played with his Pedulla Rapture RB4). During The Resistance tour the Jazz Basses were partially replaced by the Status basses. These days, starting the The 2nd Law tour Chris, rarely uses the Fender Jazz Basses.
