First announced show of 2022, part of the Will of the People Summer Festivals Tour.
Information
This gig was announced on 27th of April, 2020 by both the festival and Muse themselves, after the 2021 edition of Nova Rock Festival was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. The major difference between the '21 and this edition is the headliners; With only Muse remaining the same headliner, compared to the 2021 edition. They were headlining Nova Rock 2022 together with Placebo, Krafktlub, Five Finger Death Punch and Volbeat. This gig marks the first time Muse played the Nova Rock festival in its 17 years of existance.

A few performances had to be cancelled due to heavy rain and logistics. Muse were on with ten minutes of delay.

The Show
During the Duality riff after Stockholm Syndrome, Matt also brought in some vocals.

This page contains a list of all known performances of Do We Need This.
Nishe was played in its full length for the first time ever.

Analysis and Explanation
Matt laughed during Madness at the ‘circle of death’ that had formed in the crowd. The moment can be watched here.
Do We Need This is one of the most played b-sides from the Showbiz era, believed to have been performed over fifty times live over the course of 1997 to 2000. Possibly originating in late 1996, the earliest setlist from 1997 includes this song. Despite this, the next known appearance of Do We Need This took place in April 1999. It is very likely that Do We Need This was done somewhat often during 1997 and 1998, however as of right now, it is unknown exactly how often or when it was performed during this time period.

Do We Need This was performed live very often in 1999. As a rough estimate, including gigs where the song was believed to have been performed, Do We Need This was performed over forty times live in 1999 alone, of which we know of 17 performances from 1999. This is largely due to the band's appreciation of the song, with Matt once citing it as the band's best song. By August 1999, however, the band were beginning to sour on the song, and after August 1999 it was believed to have been performed only six times. There is always the possibility that the song was performed more often during this time period, but there are no setlists available to back up this claim.
Set times
Why the song was done so often comes down to the fact that the band had high hopes for the song, and that in 1999 the band hadn't developed a large number of songs to perform live and thus were stuck using b-sides to perform live. Unlike most b-sides there is one pro shot available of Do We Need This, the only in existence. Though it has not been performed since 2000, the band apparently have not given up on performing the song as it was a setlist option for the 2017 Shepherds Bush Empire show.
