Part of the The Resistance Arena Tour

Information

The concert was part of the first European leg of The Resistance Tour, in support of the album The Resistance, announced on the 1st of June, 2009.[1] Fan pre-sale information and links were announced on the 3rd of June.[4] Pre-sale took place on the 4th[4] and general sale started the following day.[1] Attendees needed to be 13 or older.[2]

The Show

The top of Dominic Howard's pillar structure was missing during the gig, which is suspected to be the reason as to why the band opened with Exogenesis Part I (Overture), instead of Uprising, which has been the regular opener on most of the tour. This also meant that they did not play We Are the Universe as an introduction.

Before Cave something malfunctioned with Christopher Wolstenholme's bass, which caused a slight delay, but this was soon rectified, and the band could continue.

Hullaballoons were released during Stockholm Syndrome.

Speech

After Resistance Bellamy "Thank you".[5]
Before Cave[6] "This song is called Cave ... [?] ... Is it fucked, is it fucked? Eh? Alright alright, yeah?
Wolstenholme "Everyone alright? [laughs]"
Bellamy "It sounds alright, alright?"
Wolstenholme "Are you ready?"
Bellamy "Am I ready? Yeah. Any time, any time".
