A televised performance of Sunburn in which a pianist was drafted in to play the piano. Matt threw his guitar into the equipment and then into the air over Dom's drum kit after the outro.

Matthew Bellamy commented after the show: "We did TFI Friday and it was fucking shite...we got some geeza in who like fucked it up, he was playing a piano part and he completely fucked it up and er...haha...and the ginger man called us Sunburn, playing a song called Muse...it was all just a bit of a shambles! I realised that I didn't ever want to be, well I dont say ever, I mean dont want to be a four piece, I want to be a three piece and I want to learn the piano for myself."[2]

Media

A recording of the broadcast is available below. The "fourth member" plays the intro incorrectly. The band performed a shortened version of Sunburn, during which immediately after Matt says "I can't face the shame", the band kick into Ashamed and begin trashing the equipment. Thus, Sunburn is the fourth song to use the Ashamed intro in live performances (After Muscle Museum, Showbiz, and Ashamed itself).

Speech

Before Sunburn Presenter "Have a great weekend, here to play us out, the brilliant Sunburn, they're from Torquay. No, the song's Sunburn. They're Muse. This is brilliant by the way, it is brilliant. Have a great weekend, we'll see you."
